Youth Protection Training Policy Changes
The Boy Scouts of America places the highest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our members. Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers. Current Youth Protection Training is mandatory for all new registrations or re-chartering. If a volunteer’s Youth Protection training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be reregistered. Effective June 1, 2015 Youth Protection must be updated annually.
To take Youth Protection Training go to MyScouting.org and create an account if you don't already have one. Then click on E-Learning and take the Youth Protection training. Upon completion, you may print a certificate of completion to submit with a volunteer application or submit the completion certificate to the unit leader for processing at the local council. Please make sure that existing accounts have the member ID# linked to the profile to receive proper credit.
